Chillin' on the lake
Jenna's troutOver memorial day, we went to Yellowstone with our friends, the Savages and Dukes. We had such a fun weekend, we may just have to go back! The Savages family cabin was beautiful, and we were so grateful for their generosity and hospitality in sharing it with us. We ended up four-wheeling on the first day, and all the kids loved this activity - they were laughing and squealing the whole time. I loved taking different children along the trails amongst the beautiful scenery. The next day, we were able to drive into Yellowstone and see Old Faithful -the kids were very impressed with this high spouting gyser. We enjoyed visiting different hot pots, with steam coming off, and looking at all the wildlife. At one point, we got out of the car and watched a herd of buffalo, 80 yards away in the river. On the last day, we rented a little fishing boat and all tryed our hands at fishing on Cliff Lake. Abigail had the first bite, and we were all just a little excited as Mike and Abby were reeling it in. Jenna also caught one, which was alot of fun to witness as well. What a great family weekend together!
