Cruisin' on the Harley

For our 14th Anniversary, Mike and I went on the Harley to Midway. It is a quaint little Swiss town just outside of Park City. We stayed at a beautiful and serene bed and breakfast, called Johnson's Mill. We had stayed there once before, and enjoyed it so much, we decided to return. We also thought we would take in a horse back ride up in Sundance. The Sundance road was just beautiful, with a rushing river and trees everywhere. The horseback ride was interesting, to say the least. Mike ended up getting a horse named Macaroni. His horse was very calm and pleasant. My horse, Bonnie, on the other hand, had a bit of an attitude. I enjoyed a couple of trips, kicks, flicking of the head, backing up, and refusal to go around a rock, thus causing quite a ruckus in the line. It may be a while until I get on a horse again! Having said that, the view was gorgeous. There were birch trees everywhere, with their leaves fluttering in the wind. We saw a waterfall in the distance, and could smell the fresh, pine air after the rain.

We also enjoyed eating out and doing a little shopping in Park City. We were counting our blessings, and recalling many memorable moments that have happened in the last 14 years. Cute Courtney, our beloved babysitter, watched our children for us, and did a fantastic job! We are so grateful to have her - thank you so much, Courtney, the kids had such a great time! It was alot of fun to get away together, and we were happy to get home to be with our children again.
