We had such a wonderful Halloween this year! We celebrated with four families - now how fun is that?! The Sheers were already here from Calgary, the Hancocks travelled up from St. George, and the Carters and Hasslers made it four. We ended up going to our church in the early afternoon to play games, such as keeper of the keys, Halloween basket, blob tag, hit the deck, British bulldog (mummy style), and had a pinata. We also decorated cookies, and had pizza and junk food galore! We all had such a good time, and the children loved playing all the games together. As we were all sitting down to eat, I looked around at our big crowd, and felt so blessed to be apart of such a wonderful family. We headed out together to trick-or-treat, and we were quite the crowd - 23 people approaching each door. We created quite the reactions from our neighbors! We ended up dividing into different groups, due to the fact that the older children cannot help themselves from running full force just to see how much candy they can get!
There were some awesome costumes in attendance, I must say! Melanie's family were the Hancock Heroes. Each person had an individual power, and Melanie made the capes with their power symbol on the back. Amazingly creative and talented, Melanie, you guys looked terriffic! The Sheers were very creative as well. Corbin was a stud muffin fireman with Berkley as his little dalmation side kick. She was the cutest dalmation I have ever seen - you did such a fabulous job on your costumes, Chels! Andrew and Chelsea were the people saved from the fire, they were kind of smokey stinky - hee hee. The Hasslers and Carters went the more individual route, as each child came up with what they wanted to be, and all of them looked wonderful! It was a memorable Halloween, and thank you to all you awesome families who travelled and helped make this fun day possible!
