Out hunting with DadWe sure enjoy being together in the great outdoors! We had some fun trips this summer backpacking and four wheeling. The kids love being in charge of their own packs, and are wonderful hikers too. Claire even carries a little pack with her blanket and toothbrush. It was fun to join Mike on a little hunt one evening as we quietly searched for elk. Ethan was at the front of the pack right by his Dad in his camo gear, while Claire kept running and hiding behind trees, thinking the elk wouldn't see her that way. It was really fun for me to watch. Even though we didn't end up seeing an elk that night, we still had a good time together.

I love that you guys go backpacking! Way to create memories for your children. When Evey gets bigger maybe we'll have to tag along. You seem to have a wonderful time with each experience. I love the mountaineous pictures and views. So pretty!

What wonderful family memories for your children. Even if they don't remember specifics as much as we do, they remember the feeling and the bond that it creates.
